1. Purpose & Scope
1.1 This Safeguarding & Child Protection Policy (“Policy”) sets out how BeBright+Fun Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) seeks to protect children who access our online educational and wellbeing services.
1.2 We recognise our responsibilities under relevant UK law and statutory guidance, including (as applicable to an online provider rather than a school):

1.3 This Policy applies to:

all services delivered by BeBright+Fun Ltd, including digital content, live group sessions (Mini Pods), and 1:1 support;
-
all directors, staff, tutors, contractors and associates;
-
children (“Children”) and their parents/guardians (“Parents”).
2. Our Commitment
2.1 We are committed to:

promoting the welfare, safety and wellbeing of all Children;

providing a safe, supportive online learning environment;
-
acting promptly and appropriately on safeguarding concerns;

embedding safeguarding into programme design and delivery.
2.2 We recognise that:

all Children have an equal right to protection from harm;
-
online environments carry specific risks;
-
Parents remain the primary duty-bearers for their child’s safety.
3. Roles & Responsibilities
3.1 BeBright+Fun Ltd (the Company)
-
ensures safeguarding policies, procedures and training are in place;
-
ensures content and platform design align with child-safety principles.
3.2 Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
The DSL is responsible for:
-
receiving and managing safeguarding concerns;
-
liaising with local authority Children’s Services where appropriate;
-
ensuring safeguarding training and policy reviews.

3.3 Tutors, Contractors & Staff
-
follow this Policy and related procedures;
-
complete safeguarding training;
-
report concerns immediately;
-
maintain professional boundaries.
3.4 Parents & Guardians

manage their child’s account;
-
supervise platform use and live sessions;
-
report concerns without delay.
4. Safer Recruitment & Vetting
We aim to ensure all tutors and individuals working with Children undergo appropriate checks, provide references, and are engaged under written agreements with safeguarding obligations.
5. Online Safety & Conduct
5.1 Platform Controls
-
no open chat between Children;
-
no independent child accounts;
-
restricted communication channels.
5.2 Live Sessions
-
sessions should take place in a suitable environment;
-
parents should be within reach;
-
unsafe behaviour may result in removal.
5.3 Recording of Sessions
Sessions may be recorded for safeguarding and quality purposes, stored securely, and never shared publicly without explicit consent.
5.4 Prohibited Conduct
-
bullying, harassment or hate speech;
-
explicit or inappropriate content;
-
sharing personal contact details;
-
unsupervised one-to-one contact.
6. Recognising & Responding to Concerns
Concerns may include:
-
abuse or neglect;
-
online grooming;
-
self-harm or severe distress;
-
exposure to harmful content.
Any concern must be reported immediately to [email protected] (marked “Safeguarding – urgent”). In an emergency, contact local emergency services first.
7. Training & Awareness
All tutors and staff must complete safeguarding training and receive ongoing updates.
8. Data Protection & Safeguarding
Safeguarding-related data is processed in line with UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, and our Privacy Policy.
9. Whistleblowing
Anyone may raise concerns in good faith without fear of victimisation.
10. Policy Review
This Policy is reviewed at least annually or sooner if laws, guidance or services change.
